MIL-DTL-17111 §4.5.3.2 - Low Temperature Turbidity Test
We perform lubricants quality testing by MIL-DTL-17111 to measure the low temperature turbidity of hydraulic transmission fluid. The sample is stored for at least 72 hours at -37°C or below in a clear glass bottle. The sample is then compared visually or by photometric methods with a prepared turbidity standard.
We also perform cloud point testing by ASTM D2500, ASTM D5771, ASTM D5773, DIN 51597, FTM 202, FTM 203, IP 444, IP 446, ISO 3015, and MIL-H-22072 §4.6.7. These different test methods use different instruments or procedures or are used for certain sample types. Click on the test method number to learn more about each test.
