MIL-DTL-17111 §4.5.3.2 - Low Temperature Turbidity Test

We perform lubricants quality testing by MIL-DTL-17111 to measure the low temperature turbidity of hydraulic transmission fluid. The sample is stored for at least 72 hours at -37°C or below in a clear glass bottle. The sample is then compared visually or by photometric methods with a prepared turbidity standard.

We also perform cloud point testing by ASTM D2500ASTM D5771ASTM D5773DIN 51597FTM 202FTM 203IP 444IP 446ISO 3015, and MIL-H-22072 §4.6.7. These different test methods use different instruments or procedures or are used for certain sample types.
