ASTM D4049 - Determining the Resistance of Lubricating Grease to Water Spray

We perform grease testing by ASTM D4049 to measure the ability of lubricating grease to adhere to metal when subjected to a water spray. The results from this test suggest correlation in operations involving direct water spray such as steel mill roll neck bearing service. ASTM D4049 is used for quality control and purchase specifications.
